Not because it's the best coffee maker ever but because it's tough to beat the value. I have or have had several single serve coffee makers, some in this price range and some costing much more (I love coffee and trying different ways to make it). I like the fact that you can use pods with this brewer which makes clean up a breeze and allows me to easily switch up flavors, roasts and origins. I can also use it for herbal tea if I need to come down from my caffeine high.One big plus to this brewer is the removable reusable filter. It offers options for those who don't want to use pods but it also makes disposing of the pod even easier. The filter also holds the pod nice and tight which allows the water to stay in contact with the grounds a little longer. Since this is a drip style brewer rather than a pressure brewer the extra exposure with the grounds is helpful for getting a little more flavor out of the pod. The brewer is quiet, tiny... Read more 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful:  works well, By This review is from: Single Cup Coffee Maker this is my first coffee maker, but so far so good. comes with a permanent filter and has an auto shut off feature. the first cup of coffee made probably doesnt come out as hot as it should and there is a little splatter around the counter if the cup under the drip isnt very tall. other than that, coffee brews up to 12oz quickly, tastes good, and not having to mess with a carafe is pretty convenient. |
